The Vision of the Future.

Mon Oct 12, 2009, 4:00 AM
ok. I had the surgery. got it done 7 October 2009. That will be a day I remember, until I forget it. It started with Numbing drops, then 200 proof alcohol getting poured on my eye, the skin being removed, and then the smell of burning EyeBall, and hearing the laser zapping, and the Vacuum sucking the air away from my eye. then the horrible part. The two bottles of Saline Eye Wash. Ice Cold to keep down the infection. no, it wasn't cold on my eye. it ran into my ear, where the numbing drops would nver take effect from the start. the only time I jumped during the procedure.

Ok so onto the real news. I have an appoinment tomorrow, but my first check up I was sitting at -5.25 and -4.75. one doctor stated it was equal to 20/800 because I couldn't read the first line (which was a single E) unless i got up and walked half way across the room.

Thursday I went in for my first PORT PRK check-up... 20/40 and 20/30 without assistance. Pin holes were then given to me. 20/25 and 20/20. that was less than 24 hours later. I was ecstatic. What a great day right? I then later that day forgot the pain meds. my worst day of all and it literally felt like sand paper got into my eye. but I never forgot it again.

Sorry for the Severe Abscences....

I do apologize to every of DA that I have been neglecting. I have been to Delaware, Pennsylvania, and I am now in Ohio and this has been in the past 3 weeks, and going back to Washington between each one.

I went to Delaware to support the Secret Service. Pennsylvania to support the G20. I am now in Ohio, waiting for Wednesday, Oct 7, to get my eyes fixed with PRK (Photo Refractive Keratectomy).

They said the surgery is going to cause pain and Discomfort for a few days, and I will have to put eye drops in and steroids to slow down the process of the healing, so that the eye won't scar. They remove the Outer most layer of the Cornea, and then beat the internal clear part down with a Laser. The surgery lasts about a total of 2 minutes in total. That is painless. Once the surgery is done, they rinse the eye. To do this they use a cold Saline Solution. the most painful part of the entire surgery is the eye wash. About an hour after the pain sets in. They give me Drugs and Eye drops. So I will endure 3 days of pain to only have to possibly wear reading glasses occasionally, and being able to finally wear sunglasses without contacts, so therefore I find it to be totally worth the pain. I may not say that in a few days, but I will grit my teeth, cry like a three year old girl that just had my favorite binkie stolen, and get over it...

Do remember, I haven't forgotten about my favorite people on the internet, I have been too busy to log in...

Love you guys.

Ok, So after having a Model Inform me that some of the photographers in the area were worried about the Sexual Nature of my photography, I got pretty damn down. I was vvery upset about the whole situation, but I was talking to Arnee (the Model) about a week or so ago, and she still invited me out to a pool shoot with one of her Favorite Photographers.

Well last night was the shoot. we shot for about 2 hours or just shy of it. The Photos that I like the most will be posted here very soon, in very small format, since MM won't allow the photos to be posted very large.

I have now been invited to shoot with them whenever I would like. They are also going to contact me next week about doing a Studio shoot, and teach me some editing tips on the editing software.

I feel alot better now that all of the turmoil is gone, and I am making some friends around here. Make me instantly feel better.

How does this happen???

Ok, so I have been contacting a few models through a site that I was turned to. ModelMayhem.com

I have been talking to a lot of ladies, and getting some things set up. I had a meet and greet, and a shoot scheduled, two seperate models. The shoot got canceled due to food poisining, which didn't bother me. we rescheduled, and then I ended up having to stay up for 36 hours trying to help co-workers out. So I told the lady, I would talk to her at a later time, after I got back from a Temporary Duty Assignment, which she agreed would be fine.

The Meet and Greet model, who I was supposed to meet in the local area, sent me a message and said she couldn't do the meet and greet. I said that was fine and we could reschedule. Well I never heard back from her.

I sent her a message today and asked her if she was still interested in shooting. Simple question. She responded wanting to know if I wanted to do anything Specific.. I thought that was sort of strange. So I told her, I just wanted to do something Comfortable, not over the top, so we could see how everything goes. Basically a casual shoot. Nothing Fancy Smancy...

Well she then informs me that some other Photographers from Modelmayhem were concerned about "Sexual nature of some of my Photos" ... ... What the Fuck does that mean? I told her, that I worked with the models, asked them what they would be comfortable doing, and we shot that. I asked nothing more than they said they would be willing to do.

The only thiing that pisses me off is the fact some other photographers (or at least stated by the model) are Getting into my business and trying to shut me out, so they can be greedy. I fucking hate that. If I have a problem with a Photographers work, or a Models poses, or the Make-up artists work, I tell the model or the photographer, or the said make-up artist. How is it their business to go on my page, and tell a model that the sexual nature of my photos are not what she should be shooting.

That shit really Pisses me off. I am going to go do the photo shoot with the Model I have scheduled Tomorrow, and show the other model the Potential. I will not be doing a shoot with her, because OBVIOUSLY they didn't go to my page for no reason and then suddenly send her a random message saying that.

The Happenings...

Ok, first and foremost, I know about 3 people may read this in the time I leave it posted, before I delete it. So for you few, thank you ahead of time.

I have been CRAZY busy with work, and a lot has been in the works. I have 3 times, where I will be gone, over the next few months. This Tuesday, August 3rd, I leave for Tennessee to learn how to Kick down Doors Properly, and Blow them open when feet and entry bars no longer work.

In September, I will get to see awesomeness in the making. more Details Later...

In November, I will leave Washington for Arizona... will be there until December.. During that time, I will be given lots of fun stuff, and getting to clear the ranges that ordnance has been tested on and getting to see lots of booms going off.

I am also setting up for Laser Eye Surgery, but haven't gotten the word from those fools of when I will be getting the surgery, or when I can even schedule the surgery. Once I do, I will be at another base for 2 weeks, getting my eyes Zapped, and hopefully getting to see better all around.

Hope everyone is doing well, and when I get the chance, I will get on here, look at your work, and update mine.. Hopefully this weekend, I can get out and shoot with some models. Trying to get that setup right now. will know more tomorrow...
